Installation Precautions for the 2BV Water Ring Vacuum Pump

1.Selection of Installation Environment: The 2BV water ring vacuum pump must be installed in a location with a solid and sturdy ground, with sufficient space reserved around it for inspection and maintenance. The installation surface must be level. It is recommended to install it using foundation bolts cast in place or by placing vibration-damping rubber pads to ensure smooth operation and minimal vibration.

2.Pipeline Connection Standards: Pipelines connected to the system must be reliably sealed. It is recommended to use oil-resistant rubber gaskets or vacuum hoses. The pipe diameter must not be smaller than the pump's suction port diameter. The pipeline should be short with minimal bends. The inlet pipeline should be higher than the centerline of the pump inlet, and the outlet pipe should avoid right-angle bends and other resistance factors.

3.Electrical and Cooling Systems: Connect the power supply according to the specifications on the motor nameplate, ensure reliable grounding, and install fuses and thermal relays of appropriate specifications. For pump models equipped with cooling water, connect the cooling water as specified. Drain the circulating liquid during winter shutdowns to prevent freezing and cracking.

4.Exhaust and Protective Measures: If the discharged gas affects the working environment, install a pipeline at the exhaust port to lead it away or install an oil mist filter. Simultaneously, install a filter screen in the suction pipeline to prevent foreign objects like welding slag from entering the pump body. Install a check valve on the inlet pipe to prevent water from flowing back into the system when stopping.

5.Pre-Startup Checks: Before starting a pump that has been idle for a long time, manually rotate the impeller several turns to confirm no jamming. Follow this sequence during startup: Close the inlet valve → Open the exhaust valve → Inject a small amount of water → Start the motor → Adjust the water supply to the specified value. Dry running is strictly prohibited.
