NSRH series Roots blowers are widely used in wastewater treatment, pneumatic conveying, industrial aeration, and other applications. During operation, if the temperature of the blower body, bearings, or lubricating oil rises abnormally, it may affect normal operation and accelerate the wear of components. Therefore, when an NSRH series Roots blower experiences excessive temperature, the cause should be identified promptly and appropriate measures should be taken.
When the actual system pressure exceeds the rated pressure of the Roots blower, or when the pipeline is blocked or valves are not properly adjusted, the blower has to overcome greater resistance. This can increase the motor load and operating temperature.
Check whether the system pressure is within the allowable operating range of the equipment. At the same time, inspect pipelines, valves, and other connections to prevent the blower from operating under overload for extended periods.
Bearings, gears, and other components of an NSRH series Roots blower require proper lubrication. If the oil level is too low, the oil has deteriorated, or an unsuitable lubricant is used, friction between mechanical components may increase, resulting in excessive heat.
When abnormal oil temperature is detected, check the oil level and condition. Add or replace the lubricating oil according to the equipment requirements.
The inlet air temperature directly affects the discharge temperature of the blower. If the ambient temperature is too high or the inlet pipeline is exposed to a heat source, the temperature of the air entering the blower may be excessive, causing the overall operating temperature to rise.
Check whether the air inlet area is well ventilated and avoid allowing the blower to continuously draw in high-temperature air.
Worn bearings, improper installation, or abnormal gear meshing can increase operating resistance and cause the temperature to rise. These problems may also be accompanied by abnormal noise or increased vibration.
In such cases, the blower should be stopped for inspection. If necessary, damaged bearings, gears, or other components should be replaced.
When an abnormal temperature is detected, first check the blower pressure, current, speed, and lubricating oil temperature, and compare them with normal operating data. If the pressure or current is significantly higher than normal, focus on checking the system load and pipeline resistance.
Check whether the lubricating oil level is normal and whether the oil has become dark, emulsified, or contaminated with excessive impurities. If the lubrication condition is abnormal, take appropriate action promptly.
When replacing the oil, use a lubricant that meets the equipment requirements and avoid mixing different types of lubricating oil.
For blowers installed indoors, ensure that the blower room has adequate ventilation and heat dissipation. Check whether the air inlet and exhaust passages are blocked, and maintain sufficient space around the equipment for heat dissipation.
Temperature monitoring should be strengthened during periods of high ambient temperature.
If the temperature continues to rise rapidly and is accompanied by abnormal vibration, noise, or oil leakage, do not continue operating the blower forcibly.
Stop the equipment promptly and have qualified personnel inspect the bearings, gears, rotor clearances, and other key components. Restart the blower only after the fault has been identified and resolved.
Establish a regular inspection routine and record operating parameters such as pressure, current, temperature, vibration, and lubricating oil condition. Changes in operating data can help identify potential problems at an early stage.
According to the equipment maintenance requirements, regularly inspect the lubricating oil, bearings, gears, air filter, and pipeline system. Clean or replace problematic components promptly to reduce performance degradation caused by long-term operation.
During operation, keep the pressure and load within the specified range and avoid arbitrarily increasing operating parameters. If operating conditions change, reassess the blower selection and operating requirements to ensure that the equipment operates within a suitable range.
In summary, when an NSRH series Roots blower experiences excessive temperature, the temperature itself should not be considered in isolation. Pressure, current, lubrication, ventilation, and mechanical operating conditions should all be evaluated together.
Identifying the cause of the high temperature promptly and taking targeted corrective measures can reduce the risk of equipment failure and extend the service life of the Roots blower.
