M Roots blower is a commonly used positive displacement gas conveying device, which is widely applied in wastewater treatment, pneumatic conveying, cement, chemical, metallurgy, and other industries. When the rotors rotate, gas enters through the inlet port and is carried into the sealed chamber by the rotating lobes. The gas is then transported to the outlet port through continuous rotor movement, achieving stable gas delivery.

Before starting the equipment, a complete inspection should be carried out. Check whether the lubricating oil level is normal, whether connecting parts are loose, and whether the inlet and outlet pipelines are unobstructed.
In addition, confirm that the motor, power supply, and safety protection devices are functioning properly. For equipment that has been idle for a long period, manually rotate the shaft first to ensure smooth movement without jamming.
During startup, operators should follow the specified procedures. After opening the required valves, start the motor and observe operating noise, current changes, and pressure readings.
Extra attention should be paid during the initial running period. If abnormal vibration, unusual noise, or rapid temperature rise occurs, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection.
The power supply should not be cut off suddenly during shutdown. The load should be gradually reduced according to operating requirements before stopping the machine.
After shutdown, inspect the equipment condition and record operating information for future maintenance and fault analysis.
Daily maintenance is essential for extending equipment service life. Operators should regularly check the lubrication system and replace or replenish lubricating oil when necessary.
The temperature of bearings, equipment vibration, and operating sounds should also be monitored. Dust and debris on the equipment surface should be cleaned regularly to maintain proper heat dissipation.
During long-term operation, regular inspections should be arranged according to working conditions. Key inspection points include bearing wear, gear engagement, and rotor clearance.
If serious wear is found, damaged components should be replaced in time to prevent major equipment failures. Sealing components should also be checked to reduce gas leakage.
Excessive vibration may be caused by rotor imbalance, bearing wear, or loose foundation bolts. The equipment should be stopped first, and then the fastening components and damaged parts should be inspected and repaired.
High temperature is usually related to insufficient lubrication, excessive pressure, or blocked filters. Check the lubricating oil condition and confirm whether abnormal resistance exists in the pipeline system.
Reduced airflow may result from pipeline leakage, increased rotor clearance, or inlet blockage. A step-by-step inspection should be performed to identify the specific cause and apply proper solutions.
If operating noise becomes significantly louder, the gears, bearings, and rotor condition should be checked. Ignoring abnormal noise for a long time may lead to further internal damage.
M Roots blowers play an important role in industrial applications due to their reliable structure and stable gas delivery performance. To ensure long-term and efficient operation, operators should not only understand correct operating procedures but also carry out regular maintenance and preventive inspections.
