In modern industrial automated production, the dust-free and efficient transport of powder and granular materials has become a critical factor for boosting efficiency and environmental compliance. A complete pneumatic conveying system consists of five integrated functional modules:
Consisting of air compressors, dryers, and air storage tanks, the power system delivers a steady, dry, and high-pressure air supply to propel materials through the network.
Utilizing equipment such as blow tanks, rotary valves, and screw feeders, the feeding system precisely introduces materials into the pipeline, serving as the central hub for automated feeding.
Comprising pipes of various diameters, wear-resistant elbows, and air-assist valves, the fully enclosed piping protects materials from external contamination while ensuring stable, long-distance transport.
Including receiving hoppers, level meters, dust collectors, relief valves, and discharge valves, this system safely receives materials, separates gas from solids, and manages emissions.
Powered by Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), the system supports local manual control, automatic operation, and remote centralized management for maximum operational safety.
Feeding devices directly determine system efficiency and stability. The three most widely used critical devices include:
Blow tanks operate in batches through a four-step cycle: filling, fluidization, conveying, and purging. They offer adjustable conveying speeds and high fluidization efficiency.
Top-Discharge Tank: Material flows against gravity, aided by fluidization air at both the cone and bottom sections. It is ideal for materials with high fluidization capability.
Bottom-Discharge Tank: Material flows with gravity, making it better suited for granular materials.
Rotary valves feature a compact structure, low cost, and easy maintenance. The rotor typically contains 6 to 12 evenly spaced vanes. Material enters from the top and is pushed downward by the vanes to discharge via gravity. Conveying volume can be adjusted via a variable frequency motor. Operators must guard against backflow at the discharge outlet and shaft seal leaks.
Combining continuous feeding with adjustable flow speeds, screw feeders move non-sticky bulk materials via relative motion between the screw shaft and the material. Self-sealing is achieved through material accumulation inside the discharge pipe.
