Pneumatic conveying systems are widely used in the field of powder material conveying due to their high efficiency and environmental friendliness. However, safety regulations must be strictly followed during operation to avoid risks such as equipment failure and dust explosions. The following are the key precautions during use:
1. Equipment Status Confirmation: Check whether power sources like Roots blowers and air compressors are operating normally. Observe if the motor current value and the blower outlet pressure are stable. If the pressure surges or the current is abnormal, check if the intake valve is fully open.
2. Pipeline System Inspection: Conduct a no-load test run for 5-10 minutes before startup to blow out welding slag and debris inside the pipeline. Check all connection points for air leaks. Focus on areas prone to blockage such as bends and acceleration sections.
3. Integrity of Protective Devices: Ensure that protective covers are properly installed in hazardous areas like couplings and transmission parts. Unauthorized removal is strictly prohibited.
1. Stable Parameter Control: Maintain the air velocity within a safe range to avoid material deposition and clogging. If the conveying rate needs adjustment, optimize parameters gradually; sharp short-term fluctuations are strictly prohibited.
2. Response to Abnormal Conditions: Monitor bearing temperature, vibration, and sound changes in real-time. If abnormalities are found, stop the machine immediately for inspection. For example, bearing overheating might be caused by insufficient lubrication or overly tight packing.
3. Dust Risk Prevention and Control: Regularly clean the dust collector filter bags and ensure the reverse jet pressure is normal. If the dust collector is found bulging or leaking, pause the rotary valve and delay shutting down the blower.
1. Sequential Shutdown Process: First stop the material feed, evacuate any residual material from the pipeline, and then turn off the power source. Do not shut down the system while material is still in the pipeline to prevent material deposition and hardening.
2. Equipment Cleaning and Maintenance: After shutdown, clean the conveying pipeline thoroughly. High-pressure air blasting can be used to remove buildup. Regularly check the condition of valves and filters, and replace worn parts promptly.
3. Electrical Safety Assurance: Perform maintenance only after cutting off the power supply. Working on live equipment is strictly prohibited. Check that electrical connections are secure to prevent fires caused by aged wiring.
1. Regular Risk Assessment: Conduct a comprehensive system inspection quarterly to assess potential hazards such as pipeline wear and static electricity accumulation. Upgrade explosion-proof equipment in a timely manner.
2. Personnel Training Enhancement: Operators must pass professional assessments and be familiar with equipment structure, emergency plans, and regulatory standards.
3. Compliance Management: Strictly adhere to national work safety laws and safety standards for pneumatic conveying equipment. Ensure that system design and equipment selection meet the requirements of the material characteristics.
