2BV Water Ring Vacuum Pump Installation and Maintenance Guide

There are three points that need to be paid attention to in the installation stage of 2BV water ring vacuum pump: 1) the foundation should be flat and cushioned with shock-absorbing rubber to avoid resonance; 2) The diameter of the inlet pipe shall not be less than the diameter of the pump body, and the number of elbows shall be ≤ 2 to reduce the airflow resistance; 3) The cooling water system needs to be connected independently to avoid direct discharge of steam into the environment. In terms of maintenance, it is recommended to check the wear and tear of the mechanical seal every month, and replace the accessories of the same specification if the seal ring is aging; In response to steam condensate build-up, the gas-water separator needs to be cleaned regularly and the return line must be unblocked. If there is bearing wear, it is recommended to use polymer composite materials to repair, and its impact resistance can extend the life of the parts by more than 3 times. For the condition of steam temperature fluctuation, it is necessary to add a temperature control valve in the water supply pipeline to control the temperature of the working liquid in the range of 15-40 °C to avoid seal failure due to thermal expansion and cold contraction.
